M107A1 finish/Color code - Is it Cerakote?

Postby rickmb » Sun 10 Feb, 2013 10:58 pm

Is the new M107A1 finished in Cerakote? If so, what is the color code. I have an M82a1 that I would like to refinish in the same color as the new M107a1. Is this something that I could send to Barrett and let them do it? Thanks

The Cerakote number for the M107A1 is H225 OVEN CURED MUD BROWN.
We call it Flat Dark Earth at the factory.

Awesome! Thanks for the replies. I'm sending the M82a1 to have it cerakoted in that color. I'll try to remember to post pics. Thanks again folks - Rick

When you go to put it back together be careful. Ceracote tightens tolerances in pinholes so be prepared to clean them out. Be careful not to take any metal when you do though. :ohno:
Lack of planning on your part does NOT constitute an emergency on mine.

If the M107A1 uses Mud Brown, then what is the Barrett Brown (H-269Q) color supposed to replicate?
