Barnes

Postby Billr 13 » Sat 08 Dec, 2012 3:54 pm

Does anyone have a good load for the Barnes LRX 265 gr bullet. I looked in the Barnes web site but nothing for these. I'm shooting the MRAD. 1000 yd. plus.
Thank You

Read through the replies at the following link:

I suggest reading ALL the replies, so you'll have some good info. to base your decisions on.

You'll may come to the conclusion that there are other "Better" choices for .338 shooting out past 1,000yds.

Anyway, good luck.

I usually shoot the 250g HPBT. It seems to do the best in my rifle. Here is an older Barrett Forum post you might find interesting. ;)

Has anyone noticed how scarce weapons and ammo have become in the last few weeks? :det:

I'm with Shadow. I've found the 250g HPBT shoots best out of mine also.

I've had my best results with the Hornady Match 285 gr. Tightest groups I've had yet.

Hi Bill. I'm using Hodgdon US869 powder at 102 gr. C.O.L. is 3.675" I really love this load. It's tight at all ranges. The BC on it is .700 which is pretty good.
