ACR problems

Postby Ridz » Thu 28 Apr, 2011 11:51 am

Did anyone else see the small ad in this months Guns & Ammo on page 74?

"Product Safety Notice - Warning"

"DO NOT USE YOUR BUSHMASTER ACR RIFLE"
it says that they discovered a design flaw, which could result in multiple rounds firing continuously when the trigger is pulled!

it's just a small little ad, but then as I looked closer at the magazine there are multiple small Danger Waring's?! Don't use 22 Hornet ammunition, Don't use Remington Versa Max Shotgun (may result in property damage, serious injury, or death).

Wouldn't you think that they would be required to have at least a Full Page Ad for this kind of stuff?

The ACR had a firing pin recall. The initial release of firing pin was causing the rifle to double sometimes.

I bought mine post-recall and have not had a problem. It is a nice rifle.

nothing against the rifle, I thought it was odd that for something so improtant they only had to place a small 1/4 page add to alert everyone.

That is strange. On another note, if you need to trade firing pins let me know.
