Rangefinders-got any suggestions?

Postby BoomerMT » Thu 30 Jul, 2009 3:17 am

I have a nikon monarch 800 but with the 98bravo I hope to get beyond that. I know that With most rangefinders, the published ranges are higher than the actual you can get on non reflective targets so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or experience? I have looked at the Swaro's, Leica's, and Newcon. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Boomer

I am kinda new here but the range finders that I have been using in the past are the Leupolds and they have a good one as far as I can see.

Leupold RX-IV Rangefinders has the same specs in the yard measurement as the Swaro. Maybe worth a check.

he couldnt get the range of a house at over about 600 yds and according to him the stuff on the screen was difficult to read, he said that it just didnt seem as high quality as other leupold optics he has dealt with, this being said, i would still recommend doing some more research and remember to try it before you buy it

I like the Zeiss PRF

I have owned it for 6 months extremely accurate and no problems.
