Yardage read out

Postby wasp » Thu 21 Oct, 2010 7:33 pm

I have had a bors for about a week, and have been trying it at 500 to 1000 yds and works great. But I wanted to try it at 1400 yds and found out it only reads out to 1280 yds. I have calibrated it to my scope, the turrett is still turning but the display just shows 0 after 1280 . What do I need to do? I have like 80 clicks down from where Iam zeroed.

So if I read this right, your dialing in elevation 1,000 1210 1220....1280 0 ? So it read out normally as you go, but once you get to 1280 the readout goes back to zero? That sounds like some sort of a malfunction to me. I know for mine with ball ammo I top out a little beyond 1800, but that is at the end of my MOA.
with 80 clicks down from your zero, that's 20 minutes of down. You could add the ex rings at 15 moa, and make that only 5 minutes of wasted space.(this is assuming you have a 1/4 minute elevation and zeroed at 100yds)

But my guess is, with a readout of zero after you get to 1280 is going to be something wrong with the magnetic strip on your bors elevation...guess anyway.

Well I had my increments on 50 yds instead of 100 I think that was the problem. I have the bors on a 98b now and it just goes to like 1200 and I am out of clicks so Iam getting a badger base to put on it. To get me on out there.
