Re: M33 Ball Ammo in 32" M99

I asked the same thing a few weeks ago and never got an answer. I need to buy a chrono and find out for myself. Hopefully, someone will share their data with you soon. Lots of info for the 29" models, but we may be a minority.

Re: New Military camo

Hey! That's why we have 50's. We don't have to hide really good when we are shooting from 1000 yards. Right? You could set up a card table to shoot from and they still wouldn't see you! Here is an example from the shop's website. Barrett Model 99 in ACU http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac198/fredd...

Re: New Military camo

I am thinking about getting my Barrett M99 dipped in a camo pattern at a local shop and I have it narrowed down to Multicam and A-TACS. I agree with you. Multicam only looks right on clothing and gear. NOT firearms. A-TACS looks really good on firearms though. I am really leaning toward A-TACS due t...

Re: New Military camo

If you guys were going to put a professional camo pattern on your Barrett, which would you choose? Multicam http://www.multicampattern.com http://strikehold.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/gen-ii-multicam-cp-3.jpg OR A-TACS http://www.a-tacs.com http://strikehold.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/atacs_5.jpg

Is BORS waterproof?

I looked all through the manual and searched the forums. Is BORS waterproof? What depth is it water resistant to? Just curious because I was thinking of trying to Water Transfer Print a camo pattern on it and you have to dip it just below the surface in order to do it.

Thanks.

New Trailer for "Inception" features BORS

The new Christopher Nolan (director of Batman Begins) film features a Barrett BORS in trailer number 3. Looks like a cool and interesting film with some decent guns. You guys probably have already seen this, but I just thought I would throw it out there for those that haven't. I can't tell what kind...

BMG Velocity Comparison of 20", 25", 29" & 32" Barrels

I saw an interesting post by Kevin in the .338 Ammo section that compared the 20" 98B barrel to the 27" barrel and it made me curious about the differences between the velocity of the different Barrett 50 BMG products. It seems like the information I've been able to find so far is centered...

Re: Velocity Comparison of 20" & 27" Barrels

Interesting. I thought there would be a more dramatic difference in velocity.

*edited by Kevin Fry* The same question was asked in another thread and I responded there.

Thanks. That sounds like that will do it. I figured it would be something easy like that.

Re: Boresnake trouble...

I bought a 50 cal boresnake at Cabela's a while back for my 99. Mine is really tight too, but I just figured it was because it was new. I have to wrap the cord around all my fingers and yank the crap out of it. I think the hardest part is getting the end of the boresnake to clear the muzzle brake.

Re: M82/M107 Bipod "Tilt Attenuator"

I ordered the part from Lin and had it in a few days. It is basically a three inch rectangular piece of hard rubber that fits under the bipod. Takes most of the tilt out of the bipod. Now it feels perfect! Thanks Lin! Excellent customer service also! Lin will be the first person I call if I need any...

Re: Model 99 Trigger Pin

Yeah, I saw that post, but I think it is refering to a different pin further back in the trigger assembly. The pin I'm talking about isn't a roll pin. It is the trigger pin itself.

I may have read that post wrong, but a roll pin is completely different part than the trigger pin.

Model 99 Trigger Pin

After a shooting session last week I noticed that the trigger axis pin had moved in place from one side to the other. Not enough to cause any problems, but mine just seems really loose. I am able to push it back to center with a fingertip so no big deal. I just don't want it to fall out in the woods...

Barrett 2010 Annual M82 .416 w/ Aimpoint Picture

Is anybody else wondering what the part number, price, and availability is of the scope ring top that accomodates a small rail or Aimpoint mount? Just curious. Not that I'm going to put a red dot on my Barrett, but it really looked cool. Made me think, "Okay. Now you are just showing off."...
