Re: New 98B owner here...Not much activity in this forum?

yeah, its all crickets here without a doubt. You are better off getting on SnipersHide or something like that if want more feedback. I check here every now and then tho, seems like every few months a new post comes up. Ha! Anyway, I have had good luck getting to the lands + at mag length with Lapua ...

Threads for suppressor

I am in the market for a suppressor, but do not know when my gun was built. Is it right the threads changed in 2013? My serial number is 0000762.
Thanks for any help

Re: Successful loads for the 98B

Hi, I have tried the 300g Berger hybrids, they shot reasonably well with 90g of H1000, but I found that they are too long (for mag length) to seat them within 15 thou. off the lands for best results. Lapua 300g Scenar has been the best, with many .5" groups at 200 yards, and the 300smk a very c...

Barrett 98B for sale or partial trade up for MRAD

Very nice rifle, 27 inch fluted barrel, fired 100 rds. Like new. .338 Lap.

30 MOA Base

Would take 4K neg. or use as partial trade up for an MRAD.

Love it, but gotta have that caliber conversion option!

Loves 300g Lap Scenar w/H1000 or Retumbo, not finicky.

S#.00762, purchased through EuroOptic

Re: 98B Uppers?

I would like a complete upper, in theory, it would be excellent to unpinned the upper from the lower, swap to a complete upper/optic 308. Not sure it's gonna be possible....

Re: 308 MRAD

Nice. Does anyone think that the new 98B 308's upper would pin into my 98B 338 lower? That way another scope can be utilized and zero'd per caliber.? Would Barrett part with something like that....

Re: First 'real' go at 500m

I also went to 500 yards today, ended up with 2-3 round groups at 2 inches each. One load was 285g hornadys w/lapua brass and 92.5g of h1000 and the other load was 300smk w/90g of H1000. Very pleased with this rifle!

Re: Successful loads for the 98B

Sorry, I have not tried any Bergers. I have had relatively good luck finding the three I have tried, so no plans as of yet to expand barring terrible down range performance of the three. Good luck!

Successful loads for the 98B

I have a 98B with a 27" barrel, Nightforce glass. I loaded up several different loads, and had success with all of them. This rifle does not seem to be too picky, which seems to run in contradiction to what I have read, at 100 yard zero anyway. Lapua brass, federal 215Magnum 90g of Retumbo, 300...
