Re: Harris Bipod-M99 Barrett

I bought the advertised M99 package from a Barrett distributor. After delivery I discussed the missing Bipod issue with the distributor AND Barrett. Distributor said NO Bipod included - Barrett said it WAS (to the distributor). After calling multiple times I just gave up and ordered (another) Bipod ...

Re: Harris Bipod-M99 Barrett

Yes, I agree it SHOULD have. When I bought my M99 (2006), It didn't come in the case from Barrett's distributor. After many calls, Barrett's distributor insisted that the BiPod needed to be ordered separately for the rifle and was not included in the price I was quoted. Didn't get any assistance fro...

Re: Harris Bipod-M99 Barrett

Other bipods don't work nearly as well (or at all).

Buy the Barrett bipod - they're pricy, but well worth it and can stand the recoil much better.

You'll recoup your $$ if you ever sell the M99.

Re: Anyone want to sell .50 BMG reloading gear?

FYI - You might want to read thru the posts in the Ammunition/Reloading section in this forum. The very last posting in that section.

A number of members have posted good info, plus you might want to post your query there. You might get more responses.

Good Luck. :det:

Is it 55.000, 60.000, 65.000 PSI or something else ?

Best regards

OK...
The current load generates 57,000 psi, and the cartridge has a maximum operating pressure of around 60,000 psi.

Re: Hello from Germany

One thing I would like to know: What is the maximum "safe" pressure for a Barrett Model 99 (.416) with 32 inch barrel using the original Barrett brass cases ? Thank you. I don't know the "safe" pressure figure, but Barrett recommends the following for reloading: APPROVED RELOAD ...

Re: Height of optic mounting plane?

Sorry if it came off as a snippy response, it was just retaliation . I was just hoping for an exact measurement from the manufacturer. I apologize. Retaliation is an act of revenge. Before you initiate retaliation on someone who you think has wronged you, consider whether he might A) Be right; or B...

Re: Neck Sizing for M82A1

I know it is generally discouraged to only neck size for semi auto rifles but I was wondering if anyone had tried it in their M82A1 or M107. It would be nice to be able to have the benefits of custom brass and maybe squeeze a little more accuracy out of my rifle. Any and all input is greatly apprec...

Re: EFFECT'S OF REDUSED RECOIL SYSTEM ON ACCURACY

To belay any prolonged discussion of "Precision" vs. "Accuracy", I offer the following case examples to explain the differences. Case 1: Not accurate, NOT precise: A shooter aims and fires four shots at a target. Upon examining the target, the shooter sees that all four shots are...

Re: EFFECT'S OF REDUSED RECOIL SYSTEM ON ACCURACY

so,u dont know why or how does movement of the barrel reduces the accuracy? Well, I kinda know why.... Like I mentioned, the movement of the barrel does NOT have any measurable effect on "spin drift". But, the movement of a barrel or action in any rifle DOES effect (to a measurable degree...
